Laurens County Walks for Alz Returns May 14 with $10,000 Fundraising Goal

May 5, 2026

Martha Franks Retirement Community will host the 2nd Annual Laurens County Walks for Alz on Thursday, May 14, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., with a goal of raising $10,000 to support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

The event offers participants an opportunity to honor and remember loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, support families navigating the disease, raise awareness in Laurens County, and stand together in hope.

All funds raised by Martha Franks will go toward the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, scheduled for Oct. 4, 2026, in Greenville.

Donations can be made by scanning the QR code on event materials to visit the Martha Franks Team Page.

The event is made possible in part by Gold Sponsors First Baptist Church of Laurens and the Laurens Commission of Public Works.

Martha Franks is a Christ-centered life plan retirement community offering independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
