May 5, 2026

Mayor Jay Doyle is encouraging residents of the Willowbank neighborhood to attend a special meeting on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at the Municipal Courtroom (2222 Highmarket Street). This gathering is dedicated to addressing ongoing community concerns regarding roadway safety and speeding.

Addressing Traffic Calming Measures

The meeting serves as a critical platform for community members to discuss the implementation of traffic calming measures. Deputy Chief Nelson Brown of the City of Georgetown Police Department will be in attendance to listen to resident feedback, answer questions, and address specific safety issues within the neighborhood.

This is a vital opportunity for Willowbank residents to have their voices heard and collaborate with city officials and law enforcement to ensure a safer environment for all neighbors.
