Greenville Chamber hosts gubernatorial reception connecting Upstate business leaders with candidates
May 14, 2026The Greenville Chamber welcomed members of the Upstate business community and candidates for South Carolina governor on May 11th during a Gubernatorial Reception presented and hosted by United Community.
The event provided regional business leaders the opportunity to connect directly with candidates, hear their perspectives and engage in conversations around the future of South Carolina’s business climate and economic growth.
Candidates in attendance included:
- Dr. Michael Addison
- Lt. Governor Pamela Evette
- Walid Hakim
- Billy Webster
- Attorney General Alan Wilson
Guests also heard brief remarks from Lynn Harton, who serves as United Community’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President. Harton highlighted the importance of strong leadership and the positive impact it has had on the Upstate business community. He also emphasized the importance of the business community staying engaged in the political process and participating in elections that shape the future of our state and region.
The reception is part of the Greenville Chamber’s ongoing efforts to connect business and policy leaders while fostering informed civic engagement across the Upstate region.
