Cross Hill Volunteer Fire Department to Hold Annual Board Meeting and Election June 16
May 19, 2026The Cross Hill Volunteer Fire Department will hold its Annual Board Meeting and Election on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Station 2, located at 1936 Watts Bridge Road, Cross Hill.
The evening will begin with food served at 5:30 p.m., with the Annual Board Meeting and Election commencing at 6 p.m.
Two seats on the Board of Directors are up for reelection. Candidates must be present at the meeting to be nominated, and individuals must also be present in order to cast a vote.
Per department bylaws, any person of legal voting age who resides in, owns personal property in, or owns a business within the district is eligible to vote and be nominated for the Board of Directors. Active firefighters are also eligible to vote.
Firefighters wishing to run for a Director position must be retired or removed from the roster for at least one year and must have been in good standing during their time on the roster.
Following the tallying of votes, the newly elected Board will enter into executive session to reorganize. The regular monthly meeting will follow immediately afterward.
