Arthur State Bank Breaks Ground on New Fountain Inn Branch

May 25, 2026

Local business leaders and city officials gathered on Monday afternoon to celebrate a major investment in the community’s financial landscape. Arthur State Bank officially broke ground on its future, permanent Fountain Inn location, signaling the next chapter of growth for the historic downtown area.

The community bank, which was originally founded in Union, South Carolina, has long maintained a corporate focus on supporting tight-knit municipalities. Bank representatives expressed immense excitement about expanding their physical footprint deeper into the Golden Strip, noting that the new branch is designed to bring a highly personalized, traditional banking experience to local residents and small businesses.

The Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce and Raby Construction are partnering on the development of the site. Construction on the state-of-the-art facility is expected to progress rapidly over the coming months, with an official grand opening projected for late 2026 or early 2027.

In the meantime, local customers won’t have to wait to access services. Arthur State Bank is currently operating out of a fully staffed, temporary brick-and-mortar location situated at 106 N. Weston Street in Fountain Inn.

The expansion highlights Fountain Inn’s continued appeal to regional businesses eager to plant roots in one of the Upstate’s fastest-growing communities.
