Early Voting Now Open for June 9 Primary

Laurens County residents who want to cast their ballot ahead of the June 9 primary election have the opportunity to vote early, with in-person absentee voting now underway at the county elections office.

Early voting runs Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, June 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The county observes closures on weekends and holidays during the early voting period. Voters may cast their ballot in person at the Laurens County Voter Registration and Elections Office, located at 105 Bolt Drive in Laurens.

On Election Day, Tuesday, June 9, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at regular polling locations throughout the county. Any voter who is in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Residents can find their assigned polling place by visiting vrems.scvotes.sc.gov.

For those unable to vote in person, absentee voting by mail is available to qualified voters. Residents seeking information on absentee ballot options may contact the Laurens County Voter Registration and Elections Office at (864) 984-4431.
