Georgetown Tidal Tales is thrilled to announce its second show of 2026, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at the historic Winyah Auditorium.

Centered around the evocative theme “Georgetown: This Land is Your Land,” the evening will feature a powerful lineup of local voices sharing true stories of growing up in the Lowcountry, personal concepts of home, and funny, touching, or surprising revelations about Georgetown, South Carolina.

The selected storytellers taking the stage for this special performance range from a broad range of backgrounds, including an elementary school counselor, a reporter, an active community volunteer, a massage and wellness business owner, a realtor/tour guide and an economic development professional:

  • Al Joseph

  • Karen “KK” Johnson Owens

  • Ken Baeszler

  • Kevin Dean Jayroe

  • Lisa Nalley

  • Rena Giles-Rice

In addition to celebrating local culture, this performance is a collaboration with the Georgetown 250 Committee to help kick off the 250th birthday celebrations of our nation.

Storytelling with a Mission

Georgetown Tidal Tales is proud to announce that proceeds from this event (after costs) will be donated directly to The Outreach Farm. This vital local organization raises and provides high-quality proteins at no cost to food banks, soup kitchens, and organizations that feed the hungry throughout the Grand Strand.
