Nominations Closing for Mauldin’s Juneteenth Community Impact Award

Organizers at the Mauldin Cultural Center are issuing a final call for submissions for the Community Impact Award, a marquee honor to be presented during the city’s upcoming Juneteenth Celebration.
Presented in partnership with Truliant Federal Credit Union, the award was established to formally recognize and honor an individual whose leadership, service, and positive influence have made a lasting, meaningful impact within the Black community in Mauldin.
Strict Friday Deadline Imposed for Nominations
According to an official announcement from the Mauldin Cultural Center, the open window for public submissions is coming to a rapid close. Area residents have until this Friday to officially submit the names and qualifications of local leaders, advocates, or volunteers they believe embody the spirit of the award.
The selection committee is seeking nominees who demonstrate consistent dedication and a track record of driving positive change across local neighborhoods and community organizations.

The award ceremony will serve as a centerpiece of Mauldin’s broader Juneteenth event, sub-headlined as African American Freedom Day: A Cultural Celebration.
The free, family-friendly public festival will celebrate African American history and culture with a vibrant lineup of entertainment and local collaborations.
