Laurens County Voters Head to the Polls for 2026 Statewide Primary
June 9, 2026Laurens County polling locations opened at 7 a.m. today for the 2026 South Carolina Statewide Primary, giving registered voters until 7 p.m. to cast their ballots in a number of competitive races up and down the ticket.
By the time primary day arrived, 2,704 Laurens County residents had already made their voices heard through early voting, representing approximately 6 percent of the county’s registered voter base.
Voters arriving at their precinct today will need to present an accepted form of photo identification, including a South Carolina driver’s license, DMV-issued ID card, photo voter registration card, federal military ID, concealed weapons permit, U.S. passport, or a Temporary Identification Certificate. Voters who have a reasonable impediment to obtaining photo ID may also cast a provisional ballot after signing an affidavit at the polling location.
