Richland County to break ground on new Ballentine Fire Station
June 9, 2026Richland County invites community members, elected leaders and other local stakeholders to a groundbreaking ceremony for the County’s new Ballentine Fire Station at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15.
Located at 11809 Broad River Road, Chapin, the Ballentine Fire Station represents a significant investment in public safety and emergency response services for the Ballentine community and surrounding areas. The facility will enhance the Columbia-Richland Fire Department’s ability to provide timely emergency response, improve service delivery, and support continued growth in the region.
Monday’s groundbreaking marks the beginning of a County project designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure firefighters have the resources and facilities necessary to serve residents effectively and safely.
Staff from Richland County Government and the fire department, members of Richland County Council, community leaders, and project partners are expected to participate in the ceremony.
