Anubis Labs establishes headquarters in Charleston

Anubis Labs, an early-stage technology company specializing in physics-based satellite analysis, has established its headquarters in Charleston and begun operations at the Charleston Tech Center.
Company leaders cited Charleston’s growing technology ecosystem, access to skilled talent and quality of life as key factors in the decision.
“Charleston has quietly built one of the most interesting technology communities on the East Coast, and we’re glad to be part of it,” said Brett Egloff (pictured), founder and CEO of Anubis Labs.
The company develops technology designed to better understand what lies beneath the earth’s surface through advanced satellite data analysis. Its applications span a variety of industries, including groundwater and water systems management, mining and resource exploration, energy infrastructure assessment, risk analysis, and federal programs.
Anubis Labs, which also maintains offices in Colorado, Texas and Malta, selected Charleston for its headquarters due in part to the presence of the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO Digital) at the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic).
Ernest Andrade, founder and executive director of Charleston Digital, said the company aligns well with the region’s focus on national security and emerging technologies.
“Given our emerging alignment with national security and the priorities of the Department of Defense’s focus on dual-use technology, we are glad to have an innovative startup like Anubis Labs and its experienced team commence business operations in Charleston,” Andrade said.
