Lander Announces Faculty Tenure and Promotions
June 16, 2026Lander University President Dr. Richard Cosentino has announced the names of nine outstanding members of the faculty who have been promoted and/or granted tenure, beginning in the 2026-27 academic year.
Promoted to the rank of Professor is Dr. Carol Hoyle, of the College of Education.
Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor is Prof. Rachel Coats, of the School of Nursing.
Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, with tenure, are Dr. Lauren Adams, of the College of Education; Prof. Laura Martin, of the Department of Communication and Languages; Dr. Rachel Scoggins, of the Department of Communication and Languages; and Dr. Chase Worley, of the Department of Mathematics.
Promoted to the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor is Prof. Starlyn “Dusty” McGee-Anderson, of the Department of Communication and Languages.
Promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer are Dr. Amanda Walkup, of the College of Education; and Prof. Zachary Wilson, of the Department of Psychological Sciences and Human Services.
Tenure and promotions are awarded to faculty who have excelled in teaching, scholarship and service at Lander. Recommendations are made annually to the president by the University’s provost and Tenure and Promotions Committee.
