Georgetown County School District to hold public hearing for the 2026-27 budget on June 23

The Georgetown County Board of Education has officially scheduled a public hearing to discuss the proposed 2026-27 operational budget for the Georgetown County School District (GCSD).

The hearing will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the J.B. Beck Administration and Education Center, located at 2018 Church Street, Georgetown, SC.

Budget Highlights:

• Proposed FY27 Operation Budget: $128,033,066

• Budget Increase: This proposal represents a 3.2% increase over the approved FY26 operations budget.

The public is invited to attend and provide input. Final consideration and voting on the 2026-27 budget will immediately follow the conclusion of the public hearing.
