YMCA of Greenville introduces R&R spaces for whole-body wellness
June 17, 2026The YMCA of Greenville has launched R&R (Rest & Restore), a new wellness program that provides access to dedicated recovery spaces at select family branch locations. The program, available for an additional fee to all YMCA of Greenville members ages 13 and older, features innovative recovery equipment including HydroMassage beds, CyroLounge+ chairs, air compression boots, and percussion tools. Designed to complement members’ existing fitness routines, R&R is now open at Caine Halter Family YMCA in downtown Greenville, George I. Theisen Family YMCA in Travelers Rest, the Verdae YMCA in Hollingsworth Park, and Prisma Health Family YMCA in Simpsonville. The space at the Eastside Family YMCA in Taylors will open in June.
Recovery is a critical but often overlooked component of overall wellness. The R&R program reflects the YMCA of Greenville’s commitment to supporting whole-body wellness for members of all fitness levels and ages. By bringing professional-grade recovery tools alongside group exercise, personal training, cardio and weight equipment, the YMCA of Greenville is making it easier for community members to move better, feel better, and stay active.
“We want every member to get the most out of their time at the YMCA of Greenville and that means helping them recover just as effectively as they train. R&R at the Y gives our members access to equipment that used to be only available to elite athletes, in a welcoming space that supports everyone on their wellness journey,” said Sam Franklin, president and CEO, YMCA of Greenville.
Two access levels are available for YMCA of Greenville members. R&R at the Y, priced at $15 per month, provides daily use of CryoLounge+, HydroMassage, compression boots and percussion therapy. R&R Performance at the Y, priced at $25 per month, provides all amenities of R&R at the Y as well as daily access to the RedZone Sauna, featuring dual wave redlight and infrared heat, and the PolarWave Dry Plunge, which is an innovative cold-experience that delivers targeted relief to sore muscles and joints without full water immersion.
Reservations are not required and members can use multiple pieces of equipment during a single visit. Each session runs 15 minutes and are first come, first served.
