Laurens County Community Theatre Announces 2026-27 Season
June 21, 2026The Laurens County Community Theatre has announced its 2026-27 season, featuring two musicals, a murder mystery and a youth production.
The season opens with “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy based on the television show and film. The stage adaptation follows an older Wednesday Addams who has fallen in love with a “normal” boy. Performances are set for Oct. 16, 17, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m., with a 3 p.m. matinee on Oct. 24, at the Clinton High School Auditorium.
LCCT will again partner with Presbyterian College to present a production at The Harper Center on Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m., with 3 p.m. matinees on Feb. 27 and 28. “The Prince of Egypt” is a sweeping musical based on the 1998 film that follows the story of Moses and Ramses as brothers and adversaries.
The third selection is Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” adapted by Ken Ludwig. The murder mystery is set aboard an exotic train full of remarkable suspects, each with an alibi. Performances are scheduled for June 11, 12, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m., with a 3 p.m. matinee on June 19, at Clinton High School.
A youth production of Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh” will celebrate the 100th anniversary of A. A. Milne’s introduction of the honey-loving bear to the world. The musical will be presented in partnership with School District 56 at Clinton High School on Dec. 3, 4 and 5.
The Laurens County Community Theatre strives to present quality live theatre for the community while maintaining a family-friendly schedule. Auditions are open to the public.
