Golden Skate in Simpsonville Announces Trial Period for Weekly Homeschool Skate Sessions

Local homeschool families will soon have a new weekly activity option as a popular Upstate roller rink tests the waters for a dedicated community session.

Golden Skate in Simpsonville is introducing a weekly “Homeschool Skate Tuesdays” program scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The sessions will be offered at an affordable rate of $5 per person.

The initiative is launching on a trial basis to gauge local interest and community turnout before the venue commits to making it a permanent fixture on its weekly calendar. Organizers are encouraging area families to attend the initial dates and invite peers to ensure the program gains enough traction to continue.

The four initial trial dates are set for late summer and early fall:

• August 18

• August 25

• September 1

• September 8

Management at Golden Skate will evaluate attendance figures following the September 8 session to determine whether to extend the program permanently. Dedicated daytime slots for homeschool groups have become a popular trend for regional family entertainment venues looking to provide active, social outlets for students during standard school hours.
