Cohn Construction has completed the expansion & renovation of First Baptist Church of Irmo, delivering a revitalized sanctuary & narthex addition designed to better serve the congregation and support future growth.
The project included the construction of a new narthex, creating a welcoming front entrance and gathering space for the congregation. Designed to complement the existing campus, the addition features a prominent cross element that serves as a new focal point.
Renovations to the church’s existing 5,500 SF sanctuary modernized the worship space through interior improvements, featuring stained glass windows, a new AV booth, stacked stone finishes, and a backlit cross behind the revitalized baptistry that creates a distinctive visual centerpiece.
Additional site improvements included a covered drop-off area, ADA-accessible parking, upgraded sidewalks, and enhanced accessibility throughout the campus.
