Mauldin Theatre Company Unveils ‘Pippin’ as Flagship Production for Landmark Tenth Season
June 24, 2026The Mauldin Cultural Center has officially announced that the Mauldin Theatre Company will launch its highly anticipated tenth season, dubbed “Season X: The Tenth Act,” with a bold new production of the classic musical Pippin.
The production is scheduled for a multi-week run stretching from August 14 through August 30, 2026. The landmark seasonal opener is being presented locally by WOW! Fiber Internet.
The Musical Journey Begins
With an unforgettable, beloved score penned by Stephen Schwartz, Pippin tells the iconic story of a young prince who is heir to the Frankish throne. In his quest to find true meaning, happiness, and an extraordinary purpose in life, Pippin explores the intense glories of the battlefield, the temptations of political power, and the enticements of the flesh. Guided by a mysterious, charismatic troupe of performers, his path ultimately reveals that true fulfillment often lies in the unextraordinary, quiet moments of everyday life.
The production relies heavily on a theatrical world filled with sharp choreography, expressive movement, and major musical spectacle. Due to its mature themes, the theater company has issued a PG-13 rating for the show.
