CCSD financial services team members receive state professional certifications

Charleston County School District (CCSD) recognized five members of its Financial Services team who recently earned professional certifications through the South Carolina Association of School Business Officials (SCASBO).
The certifications recognize school finance professionals who have demonstrated expertise in school business operations through professional experience, coursework, and successful completion of rigorous examinations.
The following employees earned certification:
Certified School Business Officer
- Candice White, Director of Budgeting
- Clatie Brown, Director of Financial Projects
Certified School Business Specialist
- Tracy Smith, Budget Analyst
- Cynthia Boudolf, Budget Analyst
- Crystal Brown, Financial Projects Officer
To earn the Certified School Business Officer designation, candidates must be active SCASBO members, have at least five years of experience in school finance, and successfully complete four advanced certification courses covering school finance accounting, financial reporting and auditing, budgeting and financial management, and capital and strategic planning.
The Certified School Business Specialist designation requires active SCASBO membership, a minimum of two years of experience in school finance, and successful completion of coursework and examinations in school finance accounting and budgeting, internal controls, and financial management.
CCSD congratulates these employees on this outstanding professional achievement and thanks them for their continued commitment to responsible stewardship of district resources.
