Open Door Christian Ministry Begins Renovations to Female Program House
June 29, 2026Open Door Christian ministry has started a renovation project at its female program house, beginning with demolition work aimed at updating the home’s kitchen and living areas.
According to the ministry, the kitchen is being opened up to connect more directly with the living room and is receiving updates as part of the work. Crews will move through the room to remove damaged cabinets from the walls and raise a sunken section of flooring to a level surface.
“This is a much-needed project, and we are excited to see it begin,” said Pastor Charles Brewington. “Every improvement we make helps us better serve the women in our care, and we are grateful for the community support that makes this work possible.”
The ministry said it plans to share additional photos and videos as the renovations progress.
Open Door Christian ministry is a 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, and all donations are tax deductible. The ministry is asking individuals and churches in the community to consider supporting the renovation effort. Help is welcome in several forms, including hands-on labor, financial contributions, prayer and spreading awareness of the project.
