Laurens Freedom Fest Returns July 3 with Live Music, Fireworks and Downtown Road Closures

Downtown Laurens will mark 250 years of American independence at Freedom Fest 2026, set for 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 3. The annual celebration, presented by the City of Laurens, returns with live music, food, vendors, a tribute to veterans and a fireworks display to close out the night.
This year’s event coincides with America’s 250th anniversary, giving attendees an added reason to gather on the Public Square for a full day of festivities.
Music Lineup
The festival stage will feature a mix of regional talent. TOUNDS, a new band from Charleston, South Carolina, brings together seasoned players who blend the atmospheres of indie rock and pop with the storytelling roots of the South. The group describes its sound as cinematic and built on deep musical chemistry.
DJ Amber and DJ Amore, based in Macon, Georgia, will keep the energy high with a family-friendly approach known for reading any crowd. The pair specialize in creating the right soundtrack for events of all kinds and aim to make every gathering feel like a celebration.
Headlining act The Brook and The Bluff returns to its rock and roll roots with its record “Werewolf,” a live-inspired album fueled by the sharp songwriting and stacked four-part harmonies that have defined the band’s catalog. After nearly a decade of touring and more than 200 million streams with fan favorites such as “Halfway Up” and “Everything Is Just a Mess,” the group regrouped in Nashville, meeting each morning to write and rehearse much as they did in their early days at Auburn University. Front man Joseph Settine said the goal was to treat the record like a live set.
Parking Information
Downtown parking will be available throughout Downtown Laurens, but attendees should plan ahead as several areas close in preparation for the event. Parking on the Public Square ends late Thursday night, July 2. Streets around the Square close at 7 a.m. Friday, July 3, and West Main Street closes at 11 a.m. that day.
The City of Laurens has released an official parking map to help visitors plan their evening. The map shows designated parking areas throughout downtown, along with restroom locations, first aid stations, vendor check-in and the full road closure schedule. Attendees are encouraged to review the map before they arrive.

Thursday, 11 p.m.: No parking on the Public Square
Friday, 7 a.m.: East Laurens Street, West Laurens Street, East Public Square and West Public Square
Friday, 11 a.m.: West Main Street from South Caroline Street to South Harper Street
Friday, 4:30 p.m.: North Harper Street from Gordon Street to East Main Street
Friday, 9:40 p.m.: North Harper Street from Fleming Street to East Main Street

Pet Policy
To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, the City of Laurens asks that pets stay home. Large crowds, loud music and the fireworks show can be overwhelming and stressful for animals. Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.
