City of Georgetown sends notifications to Equalized Payment Plan customers
July 3, 2026The City of Georgetown has mailed notification letters to customers enrolled in the Equalized Utility Payment Plan advising them that their updated payment plans will take effect beginning with their July utility bill.
As conducted in the past, these notifications were sent via certified mail to each participant in the program. Because the letters contain individualized account and payment plan information, the use of certified mail was previously established to help ensure each customer receives this important notification.
This mailing process is not a new policy or recently implemented procedure. Rather, it is a continuation of the longstanding practice that has been followed for Equalized Utility Payment Plan notifications in prior years.
Customers who have questions regarding their Equalized Utility Payment Plan or their upcoming utility bill are encouraged to contact the City of Georgetown Utility Billing Department for assistance at (843) 545-4039 or (843) 545-4047.
