Havenwood Behavioral Health launches inpatient women-focused trauma support program

Havenwood Behavioral Health at Springbrook, an inpatient behavioral health center near Greenville, S.C., recently announced the launch of a dedicated support program for women experiencing abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or trauma. Havenwood’s new Women’s Trauma Support is a structured inpatient environment available to women without issues related to substance use.
“Our new Women’s Trauma Support program will provide women with a safe space focused on emotional stabilization, healing, resilience and long-term recovery,” said Sheryl Smith, Director of Clinical Services at Havenwood. “Through trauma-informed care, individualized treatment and compassionate support, our Women’s Trauma Support solidifies our commitment to help individuals navigate some of life’s most difficult moments with dignity, safety and hope.”
Evidence-based care and multidisciplinary support
Through a multidisciplinary approach, patients will be supported by a comprehensive team, including psychiatry, nursing, therapists, group facilitators and discharge-planning professionals focused on continuity of care and long-term support. Patients will benefit from evidence-based care, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), both in individual and group settings, as well as psychoeducation with a solution-focused approach.
Through supportive programming and structured therapeutic interventions, patients will be able to build skills designed to support emotional wellness and long-term recovery, such as:
