Johns Island Elementary welcomes Dr. Stephanie Hall as Interim Principal
July 14, 2026The Charleston County School District (CCSD) has named Dr. Stephanie Hall interim principal of Johns Island Elementary School, effective immediately, following the appointment of former principal Judith Condon as Interim Executive Director of the Elementary Learning Community.
Dr. Hall has served as assistant principal at Angel Oak Elementary School since 2019, where she has played an integral role in strengthening instruction, supporting teachers, overseeing school operations, and expanding opportunities for students. Prior to joining the administrative team, she served as a lead teacher, first-grade teacher, and fifth-grade teacher at Angel Oak, earning the school’s Teacher of the Year honor in 2017-2018.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hall has led numerous schoolwide initiatives, including coordinating state and district assessments, supporting special education services, leading multi-tiered systems of support, overseeing summer enrichment programs, and helping implement innovative literacy and family engagement programs. She has also served as a mentor for new teachers and worked closely with staff to build a positive, student-centered school culture.
Before joining Angel Oak Elementary, Dr. Hall taught second grade at St. James-Santee Elementary School, where she served as grade-level chair, math committee chair, and elementary science liaison while securing grants to expand learning opportunities for students.
