Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to Host Community Blood Drive Aug. 20

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office will again partner with The Blood Connection to host a community blood drive Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the front parking lot of the Sheriff’s Office.
Organizers said a single blood donation can help save up to three lives. First-time and returning donors alike are encouraged to take part, as area hospitals continue to rely on a steady blood supply to care for patients throughout the community.
Sheriff Don Reynolds said the drive reflects the agency’s commitment to serving residents beyond traditional law enforcement.
“Giving blood is one of the simplest ways to make a real difference for our neighbors,” Reynolds said. “We are proud to open our doors and stand alongside The Blood Connection to help patients right here in Laurens County.”
Appointments are encouraged to help reduce wait times, though walk-ins are welcome. As a thank-you, all donors will receive $40 in donor rewards.
