Mission Lexington announces Leah Doyon as Director of Development
July 14, 2026Mission Lexington announced the promotion of Leah Doyon to Director of Development, recognizing her exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission, and the vital role she will play in shaping the future of Mission Lexington.
Leah’s journey with Mission Lexington began in the organization’s Social Services Department, where she worked directly with neighbors experiencing crisis. That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing Lexington County families and the life-changing impact of Mission Lexington’s programs. Over the years, she has become known for her remarkable versatility, serving in a variety of roles while consistently demonstrating a willingness to step forward wherever she was needed most.
With a professional background in event planning, organizational development, relationship building, and community engagement, Leah has become an integral member of the Mission Lexington leadership team. Her ability to wear many hats, manage multiple priorities, cultivate meaningful partnerships, and bring strategic vision to every project made her a natural choice to lead the organization’s development efforts.
As Mission Lexington enters one of the most significant seasons in its history through the Mission on the Move capital campaign, Leah will help lead initiatives focused on donor engagement, corporate and community partnerships, fundraising events, grant opportunities, and expanding awareness of the organization’s growing impact across Lexington County.
Mission on the Move is a transformational campaign that will provide Mission Lexington with a new facility designed to nearly double its capacity to serve neighbors in crisis. The campaign represents an investment not only in a building but in the future of hunger relief, financial assistance, and hope for thousands of families throughout Lexington County.
“Leah’s journey at Mission Lexington is a strong picture of what internal growth looks like. She started by welcoming our neighbors at the front lines of social services, and through years of dedication and hard work, she has earned her place leading our development efforts. We couldn’t be more proud to call her our Director of Development,” said Amy Reeves, CEO, Mission Lexington.
Founded in faith, Mission Lexington has served Lexington County for nearly five decades by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and other critical resources to neighbors facing hardship. Last year alone, the organization met more than 69,000 needs throughout the community through the generosity of donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community partners.
As Mission Lexington continues its Mission on the Move campaign, Leah’s experience, passion, and servant leadership will help guide the organization into its next chapter of growth, ensuring more families have access to the resources, hope, and support they need for generations to come.
