Clinton High Graduate Zia Patel Awarded Teresa Graddick Memorial Scholarship

Clinton High School graduate Zia Patel has been selected by a scholarship committee to receive the Teresa Graddick Memorial Scholarship.

Graddick served as the nurse at Clinton High School and passed away unexpectedly in the summer of 2020. Her family and friends established the annual scholarship in her memory to honor a Clinton High graduate entering the healthcare profession.

Patel played varsity soccer at Clinton High and was an integral part of the yearbook staff. She was most often seen with a camera looped around her neck at ballgames and other Clinton High events. Patel also served several years on the Clinton High student council, most recently as senior class president this past year.

Patel will enroll in the biology program at the University of South Carolina this fall and hopes to become an anesthesiology assistant.
