Hundreds of doctors of optometry and eye care industry professionals from across the country expected to bring economic boost to Hilton Head during SCOPA 119th annual meeting

The South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association (SCOPA) is excited to host their 119th Annual Meeting, bringing together optometric physicians, industry representatives, community partners and exhibitors, to The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa August 20-22, 2026.
The three-day conference combines nationally recognized continuing education with one of the state’s largest gatherings of Doctors of Optometry Beyond the educational sessions, the event will generate business for local hotels, restaurants, retailers and other hospitality businesses during the late summer travel season.
“This meeting is an investment in both patient care and South Carolina’s economy,” said Dr. Kevin Campbell. “Our members come together to learn the latest advances in comprehensive vision care while supporting the communities that host us.”
Attendees will hear from nationally respected speakers including Dr. Meghan Elkins, Dr. Marc Bloomenstein and Dr. Tim Earley, who will present on the latest developments in clinical eye care, emerging technology, treatment options and practice management. Doctors attending the conference can earn up to 18 hours of continuing education for re-licensure while exploring new products, services and innovations showcased by industry exhibitors.
