The Shops at Greenridge unveils new public piano
July 27, 2026The Shops at Greenridge unveiled its new public piano by Please Play Me Pianos on Saturday, July 25, adding a new interactive art and music experience to the shopping center.
The piano, named Joy, was painted by local artist Liz Oveson and is now available for visitors to play and enjoy under the permanent canopy between Brixx Wood Fired Pizza and Panera Bread.
The unveiling featured remarks from Anne McLaughlin of Please Play Me Pianos and Oveson, along with performances from several young musicians, including Lucy Evan, Charlotte Hunter, James Hunter, Zoë Shaduk and Preston Zhang. Piano teacher Grace Drury also participated in the event.
Please Play Me Pianos places public pianos throughout the Greenville community, inviting residents and visitors to experience music, art and connection in everyday spaces.
