Community Unites for Kits for Kids GVL Drive Across Golden Strip Drop-Off Locations
July 27, 2026Local businesses and community hubs across the Golden Strip are teaming up to support foster children this summer through the Kits for Kids GVL donation drive.
Running from July 25 through August 4, 2026, the annual effort collects essential items to stock Miracle Hill’s “Foster Shop” before the upcoming school year. The Foster Shop allows local foster children to visit and personally select school supplies, toiletries, and everyday necessities.
Golden Strip Drop-Off Locations
Residents looking to contribute can drop off donations at several convenient locations throughout Simpsonville and Mauldin:

Crown + Bloom Coffee Co. — 102 Academy St, Simpsonville
Accepting donations Monday through Saturday during regular business hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).

Chocolate Artworks — 105B Miller Rd, Mauldin
Serving as a Mauldin collection hub during normal shop hours.

Acrosmith Gymnastics — 3130 N. Industrial Dr, Simpsonville
Accepting drop-offs for gym families and community members during business hours.

Foster Shop Kits (~$15–$25 value): New underwear paired with essential school supplies inside a reusable shopping bag.

Personal Care & Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and face wash.

Teen & Tween Essentials: Headphones, earbuds, deodorant, skincare products, and Cantu hair products.

Additional Extras: Sunscreen, bug spray, duffel bags, and restaurant gift cards.

Organizers ask donors to hold off on sending backpacks, socks, stuffed animals, blankets, or hand sanitizer, as current inventories for these specific items are already complete.
