Fountain Inn Police Set to Host 2026 National Night Out at Commerce Park
July 29, 2026Local residents, families, and first responders will gather in downtown Fountain Inn next week for the city’s annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Hosted by the Fountain Inn Police Department at The Pavilion at Commerce Park (200 Depot St.), the free, family-friendly event aims to strengthen police-community partnerships and build neighborhood camaraderie in a relaxed setting.
WHAT TO EXPECT: GAMES, DEMOS & FAMILY FUN
Designed as a community block party, the evening features an array of interactive activities, youth entertainment, and public safety demonstrations:
-
Demonstrations & Games: Live K9 demonstrations, outdoor laser tag, face painting, and family games.
-
Vehicles & Equipment: City vehicles, police cruisers, and emergency response equipment on display for kids and families to explore.
-
Food & Community Partners: Free food options and interactive booths featuring local city departments and community organizations.
In addition to police officers, representatives from the Fountain Inn Fire Department, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office Mobile Substance Abuse Education Trailer will be on hand to meet with residents.
BUILDING A SAFER COMMUNITY TOGETHER
Held nationwide on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out provides a space for law enforcement and local residents to connect outside of emergency situations.
“This event is one of the most impactful evenings of the year for our department,” stated Fountain Inn Police Chief Patrick Fortenberry. “It’s an opportunity for our officers to connect with families, earn trust, and remind the community that we’re here to serve, protect, and build strong relationships that go beyond emergency response.”
