Laurens YMCA announces modified pool schedule as lifeguards return to school

The Laurens YMCA will move to a modified pool schedule beginning the week of Aug. 3 as many of its lifeguards return to school, the organization announced.
Under the updated schedule, free swim will be offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lap swim will be available during class times.
Friday, Aug. 7, will be the last day of free swim for the season.
Water fitness classes will continue throughout the entire month of August, giving members an opportunity to stay active and enjoy the pool after free swim ends for the year.
YMCA staff noted that class times are subject to change based on lifeguard availability and weather conditions.
