Annual Superheroes in Motion Walk, Run & Roll 5K headed to Conestee Park

Community members are invited to suit up and unleash their inner superhero for a cause this fall. The South Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association (SCSCIA) will host its annual SC Superheroes In Motion Walk, Run & Roll on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Conestee Park.

The inclusive community event features both a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run/walk/roll, bringing together athletes, families, advocates, and individuals living with spinal cord injuries for a morning of camaraderie, competition, and awareness.

In-Person and Virtual Race Options

Designed to welcome participants of all ages and abilities, the event offers both on-site and remote participation options:

• In-Person Event (Saturday, Sept. 5): Held at Conestee Park (840 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607). The 5K kicks off at 10:00 a.m., followed by the 1-mile event at 10:15 a.m.

• Virtual 5K (Sept. 1 – 7): Participants can walk, run, or roll from anywhere during the first week of September and still earn an official race medal.

Registration Details & Pricing

Registration is open online, with discounted rates available for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI):

• 5K Walk, Run & Roll: $35 (In-person or Virtual) | $25 for SCI Individuals

• 1-Mile Walk, Run & Roll: $15

• Commemorative T-Shirts: Official event T-shirts can be ordered for $15. To guarantee shirt orders, participants must place their order by August 24, 2026.

All finish-line completers—both in-person and virtual—will receive a commemorative finisher medal. Trophies will also be awarded to top 5K finishers across overall male/female, masters (40+), wheelchair, and age group categories.

Supporting a Vital Mission

Organized by the SCSCIA—a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization—the annual event raises funds to support programs, resources, and advocacy for South Carolina residents affected by spinal cord injuries and related conditions.
