Clinton Art Gallery to showcase portraits in August exhibit

The Clinton Art Gallery will once again invite art lovers to enjoy a themed exhibit at its display space at 113 N. Broad St.
“Let’s Face It,” an exhibit featuring the human face, will run throughout the month of August. More than 20 artists from across the Upstate have produced portraits in a broad variety of styles and media.
“The artists have really met this challenge with talent and creativity,” gallery owner Jeannie Browning said. “I’m looking forward to sharing these beautiful works with the public, and hope customers will respond to the heart-felt effort evident in the portrayals.”
Some of the works depict specific people, while other subjects are more abstract and whimsical. The titles bear that out, as “Blazin’ Betty” graces a wall beside more traditional pieces such as “My Daddy.”
A reception is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 6:30 p.m., and all are invited to meet the artists and view the exhibit.
The portraits will remain on display through the end of August. The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
