Celebrate National Kids Track Trails Day in Georgetown County on August 15

Georgetown County Parks & Recreation invites families and outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate National Kids Track Trails Day on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The local celebration is part of the national Kids in Parks initiative developed by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to encourage children and families to explore the outdoors.

On August 15, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 am, Parks & Recreation staff will be stationed at Stables Park in Pawleys Island to distribute Kids Track Trail materials and information. Families attending the event can participate in a specially set-up Hike and Seek course along the trail.

Community members are also encouraged to explore all three of the Kids Track Trails located across Georgetown County:
