CCSD welcomes new Director of Procurement Services

Charleston County School District is announced Kerry A. Doucette as the District’s Director of Procurement Services. Doucette brings more than 20 years of executive procurement, strategic sourcing, and public sector contracting experience, with a distinguished career serving educational institutions, government agencies, and municipal organizations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Doucette has built a reputation for strengthening procurement operations through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a steadfast commitment to transparency, compliance, and fiscal responsibility. Most recently, he served as Director of Strategic Sourcing at Houston Community College and was selected to serve as the institution’s Interim Executive Director of Procurement Operations, where he led districtwide procurement strategy, supplier management, contract administration, and small business development initiatives. During his tenure, he helped modernize procurement processes, improve operational efficiency, and support a $425 million bond-funded capital program.

Doucette’s career also includes leadership positions with the Harris County Department of Education’s Choice Partners Cooperative, where he managed cooperative purchasing programs serving public entities nationwide, and the Recovery School District in New Orleans, where he established procurement systems and contracting processes during the district’s rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Katrina. His experience spans procurement transformation, contract lifecycle management, supplier relationship management, capital project procurement, and regulatory compliance.
