The Nickelodeon Theater joins the 2026-27 Southern Circuit Tour

The Nickelodeon Theatre is one of 12 screening partners across the South participating in this year’s Southern Circuit Tour, the longest-running independent film circuit in the region. Presented by South Arts, Southern Circuit brings independent documentary filmmakers directly to local audiences for screenings paired with filmmaker-led conversations.

This season, The Nick will host screenings from the following filmmakers:

September 22, 2026 – Linda Royal, Minnie Evans: Draw or Die
October 20, 2026 – David Alvarado, American Pachuco: The Legend of Louis Valdez
November 3, 2026 – William D. Caballero, THEYDREAM
February 23, 2027 – Raúl O. Paz-Pastrana, Backside
March 23, 2027 – Thandi Cai, Bluff City Chinese
April 20, 2027 – Yael Bridge, Who Moves America

Each screening will include a conversation with the filmmaker, giving the community a chance to engage directly with the people behind these stories. Since its founding, Southern Circuit has reached more than 100 communities across the South, continuing that tradition again this year.

Southern Circuit is made possible through a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
