Friends of the Waccamaw Library announces call for book donations to support community programs

The Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL) is asking community members and book lovers to clear off their bookshelves for a good cause. FOWL is currently accepting donations of gently-used books at the FOWL Friends Center to help fund and support local library programs.

To ensure donations meet program needs, organizers request that contributed items meet the following guidelines: 

• Publication Date: Books with a copyright date of 2011 or older.

• Condition: Books in good, gently-used condition (free of water damage, torn covers, or excessive highlighting).

“Whether you’re decluttering your home library or looking to give older favorites a second life, your donated books make a huge difference in supporting our local library,” the organization shared in its announcement.

Individuals can drop off their book donations at the FOWL Friends Center, located within the Waccamaw Library at 41 St. Paul Place, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
