Rick Todd joins Callison Tighe as of counsel
August 11, 2026Callison Tighe welcomed Roderick M. “Rick” Todd to the firm and to announce the opening of its new Camden office. Offering clients decades of legal experience, Mr. Todd practices in the areas of banking, real estate, and estate planning and administration.
Located at 631 West DeKalb St. in Camden, in the same building as First Community Bank, Callison Tighe’s new office is also home to attorney Rick Detwiler, a long-time resident of Camden, who also continues to practice in the firm’s Columbia office.
Mr. Todd grew up in Camden, where he has practiced law since 1990. He will continue to practice from his office there. He also has decades of judicial experience, including time as Municipal Judge for the City of Camden and as a Kershaw County Magistrate. He presided over the Kershaw County Drug Court and continues to volunteer for the program, which is a diversionary program focused on addiction recovery.
He combines his legal skills with practical business knowledge. He is a member of the First Community Bank Board of Directors, a NASDAQ-listed public corporation. He serves as the board’s corporate secretary and as a member of the board’s executive committee.
His service to the community is as rich as his legal resume. He has contributed his talents to numerous organizations, including the boards of directors of the Kershaw County Council on Aging, the Bank of Camden, the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County, the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce, and several others.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mr. Todd lives in Camden with his wife, Lisa. They are the parents of two adult children.
