Richard Dukes re-elected to FDCC Board and named Co-Chair of AI and Technology Committee

Turner Padget announced that Charleston shareholder Richard S. Dukes has been re-elected to serve as a director of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) for the 2026-2027 term and has been appointed Co-Chair of the FDCC Evolve – AI and Technology Committee, effective August 1, 2026.

Dukes was inducted alongside the FDCC’s other officers and directors during the organization’s 2026 Annual Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal. In his role as Co-Chair of the Evolve – AI and Technology Committee, Dukes will help guide the committee’s work examining the legal and practical implications of AI and emerging technologies. The committee develops educational programming, thought leadership and practical guidance for attorneys and organizations navigating technology’s impact on litigation, risk management and business operations, including through its Fed Tech U program.

Dukes is a shareholder in Turner Padget’s Charleston office and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. A seasoned trial attorney, he represents businesses and individuals in complex litigation, including business disputes, class actions, products liability and constitutional law. He also has extensive experience advising and defending religious organizations in employment and liability matters, with particular experience involving First Amendment protections. Throughout his career, Dukes has successfully defended clients in high-stakes class actions and commercial litigation across a wide range of industries.
