Faherty to open downtown Greenville location in early 2027

August 18, 2026

Faherty, a national lifestyle and apparel retailer, will open a new location in downtown Greenville at 200 North Main Street in early 2027, adding to the brand’s existing South Carolina locations in Charleston and Kiawah Island.

Founded in 2013 by New York–based twin brothers Mike and Alex Faherty, the brand has grown to more than 80 stores nationwide. Faherty is known for premium, casual clothing inspired by coastal living, with a commitment to sustainable materials across its men’s and women’s collections.

“The goal is to make this end of Main Street really solid shopping,” Mayor Knox White said. “We are going to be a top shopping destination in South Carolina with these brands and locals in there too.”

Faherty’s arrival strengthens downtown’s retail strategy without displacing a local business. The space — currently occupied by Dapper Dog — has been serving as a placeholder for the building’s owner, an entrepreneur with online pet businesses who established a brick-and-mortar presence on the ground floor.

Mayor White said the addition supports the City’s broader vision for the north end of Main Street, adding that the downtown retail momentum is intentional. “This is all by design. I am almost giddy with it,” Mayor White said. “We have about three more lined up to come in, the stores on everyone’s list of ‘I want this in Greenville.’”
