Five Greenville County high schools rank among top 25 in state, according to U.S. News

Five Greenville County high schools have earned spots among the top 25 public high schools in South Carolina, according to the latest annual rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.

The 2026–2027 Best Public High Schools list evaluated schools across the state on college readiness, state assessment proficiency, graduation rates, and curriculum breadth. Riverside High School led the district as the highest-performing Greenville County school, securing the No. 11 spot statewide.

Several other district high schools followed closely behind in the top tier:

• Riverside High School — No. 11

• Mauldin High School — No. 16

• Wade Hampton High School — No. 20

• J.L. Mann High Academy — No. 21

• Eastside High School — No. 24

Greenville Senior High Academy narrowly missed the top-tier cutoff, placing at No. 26.
