Fountain Inn opens registration for Civics Academy to give residents an inside look at local government

August 26, 2026

Residents looking to gain a deeper understanding of how their city operates behind the scenes can now register for the upcoming Fountain Inn Civics Academy.

The interactive public education initiative is designed to strengthen ties between local residents and municipal leadership. Spanning three evening sessions, the program offers participants a firsthand look at day-to-day city administration, emergency operations, public works, and community services.

A behind-the-scenes look at municipal services

From front-line emergency response to long-term community planning, the academy provides insight into the various municipal teams serving the community around the clock.

Participants will get an in-depth view of the Fountain Inn Fire Department and other vital divisions through:

  • Department presentations: Direct briefings from department heads and city personnel detailing how daily operations, safety protocols, and services are managed.

  • Facility tours: On-site visits to essential municipal buildings and public service hubs across the city.

  • Open dialogue: Interactive Q&A sessions giving attendees the opportunity to meet municipal staff face-to-face, discuss local initiatives, and ask questions about community growth.
