August 27, 2026

Clemson University Cooperative Extension in Georgetown County invites local youth, parents, and community members to a free “Discover 4-H” drop-in event on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Georgetown County Library (405 Cleland St., Georgetown, SC 29440).

The event offers families an opportunity to learn about 4-H youth development programs, local clubs, hands-on activities, and volunteer leadership opportunities. 4-H stands for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, representing a holistic approach to youth development focused on clear thinking, emotional connection, practical skills, and healthy living.

Attendees can meet local Extension agents, participate in games, and enjoy complimentary refreshments while asking questions about how to get involved.

The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is appreciated for planning purposes.   For more information or to RSVP, contact Sherry Davis-Livingston, Distinguished 4-H Youth Development Agent & County Coordinator, at 843-904-9317 or via email at [email protected](opens in new tab).
