Newberry College celebrates opening of Wolves Village, renovated library

Newberry College celebrated two investments in the student experience Wednesday with ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Wolves Village and Wessels Library.
The celebrations brought together College leaders, students, and community partners to mark enhancements to campus spaces as Newberry begins its 170th academic year.
Wolves Village
The day began at Wolves Village, Newberry’s newest residential community. Newberry Mayor Foster Senn; Patrick Bukszar, CEO of Hurricane Builders; and Steven Janowiak, Newberry College vice president for student affairs and student experience, joined the College community for the ceremony.

Wessels Library
The celebration continued at Wessels Library, where guests gathered for a reception and ribbon cutting recognizing renovations designed to enhance the library as a space for studying, collaboration and community.
Newberry College Board of Trustees Chair Lenna Young, Ph.D.; President David Harpool, J.D., Ph.D.; and Newberry College student Celeste Welch participated in the ceremony, highlighting the significance of the project for both the College and its students.
