18th Annual Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Tournament returns to Pelicans Ballpark

Local emergency responders are trading their sirens for softball bats as the 18th Annual Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Tournament returns to Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
This annual community event pits local firefighters against police officers in a competitive showdown to raise funds and awareness for SOS Care’s Project Lifesaver. Project Lifesaver provides specialized tracking technology and support for individuals throughout Horry County who are at risk of wandering due to conditions such as Alzheimer’s, autism, or other cognitive disorders. 
In addition to the matchup on the field, attendees can enjoy a hot dog buffet, craft beer, raffles, and family-friendly entertainment. Children ages five and under receive free admission.
Community members, local businesses, and supporters can participate in several ways:

Sponsorships: Business sponsorship opportunities are available across multiple tier levels to support event costs and Project Lifesaver programming.

Volunteering: Volunteers are needed to assist with event operations, spectator services, and game-day activities.

Donations & Tickets: Individual donations can be made directly to the cause, and general admission tickets are available prior to the event.
