GFWC Golden Strip Club resumes monthly meetings at new Simpsonville location
September 7, 2026Following a summer hiatus, the GFWC Golden Strip Club will resume its regular monthly gatherings with a brand-new schedule and meeting location.
The club’s September meeting is set for Wednesday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Milano Pizzeria & Restaurant, located at 633 SE Main Street in Simpsonville. Moving forward, the group will assemble on the second Wednesday evening of each month at the restaurant unless otherwise announced.
Club leaders invite local residents to get involved. In addition to community networking, attendees at the September 9 meeting are encouraged to bring bags of potatoes to support the club’s ongoing food collection initiative for the Center for Community Services.
The September kickoff also signals the start of a busy autumn volunteer schedule. Upcoming initiatives include:
-
GFWC International Day of Service (Sept. 26): Club members will assist with operations at the Safe Harbor warehouse.
-
Local Hunger Relief: Continued ongoing food collections to benefit the Center for Community Services.
-
Community Fundraising (Nov. 7): Operating concession sales at the upcoming Holiday Fair.
As part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs—an international volunteer organization founded in 1890—the local Golden Strip Club focuses on civic improvement, education, the arts, natural resource preservation, and advocacy for children and domestic violence prevention programs.
Membership is open to anyone interested in service, local connection, and community leadership. For additional details, visit www.GFWCGoldenStripClub.org or email [email protected].
