Fountain Inn miracle league set to launch 2026 season on opening night

The dugouts are filled, the bats are ready, and local athletes are preparing to take the field as the Fountain Inn Miracle League kicks off its 2026 fall baseball season next week.
Opening Night will take place Monday, Sept. 21, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fountain Inn Miracle League Field, located at 700 Woodside Avenue. The event is free and open to the public, requiring no advance registration or tickets.
Community members, families, and neighbors are encouraged to pack the bleachers to support players of all abilities as they step up to the plate, round the bases, and celebrate with teammates and league mascot Buddy. Organizers are urging fans to bring handmade signs, cheer loudly, and offer high-fives from the stands to give the athletes a proper stadium welcome.
The Miracle League removes barriers that keep children and adults with mental and physical disabilities off traditional ballfields, using custom-designed, rubberized surfaces to accommodate wheelchairs and other assistive devices while fostering inclusion, teamwork, and community spirit.
Residents can mark their calendars for Monday evening to experience the action in person and help officially usher in another season of baseball in Fountain Inn.
