Grid Iron Update: Red Devils and Saints fall on the road in quiet Week 4

Laurens County got through Friday, Sept. 11, with only two games played, and neither ended the way local fans wanted.
Clinton High School
The Red Devils made the trip to Inman and lost to Chapman, 45-13, their first setback of the season. Clinton falls to 2-1 and returns home Friday, Sept. 18, to host Union County at 7:30 p.m.
Laurens District 55 High School
The Raiders were off on a scheduled open date and remain 1-2. Laurens hosts Blythewood on Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
Laurens Academy
The Crusaders traveled to Batesburg to face W.W. King Academy but never got the game started. Storms in the area forced a cancellation. Laurens Academy stays 3-0 and is scheduled to play at Palmetto Christian Academy on Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
Thornwell Charter School
The Saints were shut out at Blacksburg, 34-0, and dropped to 0-4 in their first season on a full Class 1A schedule. Thornwell is off Friday, Sept. 18, and returns Friday, Sept. 25, against region opponent Dixie at 7:30 p.m.
