Introducing Beaufort Current: A New Way to Stay Connected to Beaufort

Beaufort has a new way to stay informed, connected and engaged with the launch of Beaufort Current, a new digital weekly newsletter and news platform highlighting the people, businesses, nonprofits and organizations that make Beaufort such a special South Carolina coastal community.

For the past 30 years, I’ve worked in public relations and strategic communications with businesses and organizations of all sizes. Along the way, I’ve learned that effective communication starts with understanding what people care about — and knowing how to turn information into a story that captures attention.

I’m bringing that experience to Beaufort Current.

My goal is simple: to create a place where the news, announcements, events and stories coming from Beaufort, Port Royal, Lady’s Island and St. Helena Island can be easily discovered and shared with the people who live, work and invest in our community.

Every week, there are businesses opening their doors, nonprofits making a difference, community organizations planning events and local leaders making decisions that affect our community. Too often, that information can be difficult to find or simply doesn’t reach the people who would benefit from knowing about it.

Beaufort Current is designed to help change that.

I have a passion for helping the small and medium-sized businesses and organizations that form the fabric of this remarkable community tell their stories and connect with the people around them. Whether it’s a new business, an upcoming event, a community initiative, a nonprofit making an impact or a local leader with an idea worth sharing, Beaufort Current will provide a place for those stories to be seen.

This is more than a newsletter. It’s an effort to help build a stronger, more connected local community—one story at a time.

I’m excited to introduce Beaufort Current and look forward to discovering and sharing the stories that make our community current.

Hope you will be a part of it.
